Central Battery Systems - CENTRAL EMERGENCY LIGHTING & FIRE DETECTION
Central Battery System CG48
Emergency Lighting - Central Battery Unit CG48
The CeaGuard 48 is designed for the supply and monitoring of 48 emergency luminaires with
CEWA GUARD monitoring in maintained, non-maintained or switched maintained light mode.
The CeaGuard system features a maintenance-free, completely sealed lead-acid battery for 1 or
3 h duration emergency lighting. The batteries are gently charged according to an I/U charging
characteristic. Due to a patented charge monitoring method, a failure in the battery circuit is
immediately indicated. Max. four inverters supply and monitor max. 12 CEAG emergency luminaires
each in mains and battery operation. The control module with 2-line display indicates any changes
in the operating state of the complete emergency lighting system. Via potential-free indicator
contacts or an E/G/A data interface, the status messages can be transmitted to a central monitoring
station.
A sheet steel enclosure with separate enclosure section for accommodating the battery. Interior
cover for the protection of the electronic components in blue, with block diagram and all relevant
technical data. Enclosure with internal earthing studs. Cable feed-through from above. Battery
enclosure section with ventilation slots in bottom third. Enclosure door hung on the right with viewing
window for the optical status indication on the 23.3 Ah version. The 59.2 Ah version has a door hung
on the left, opening angle 180º, with transparent polycarbonate cover for the electronic components.
The converter and charger are connected via 32-pole plug-in connections with the connection module.
The control unit that is also the termination contains all operation and signal functions as well as
potential-free signal contacts. Connection of the 230 V mains supply is via a separate series terminal.
Connection of the end circuit and control lines is via a 2.5 mm² connection terminal on the connection
module. The fuses of the individual modules are easily accessible on the control unit front.
